Silver City is a town in Grant County, New Mexico, in the United States. It is the county seat of Grant County. Silver City is situated about 100 miles northwest of Las Cruces; is about 6,000 feet in altitude; and has a population of just over 10,000 residents (Grant County has about 30,000 residents).
